Calgary firm seizes golden opportunity in Colombia

With gold reaching new highs, resource investors are looking to the resource-rich and under-explored country of Colombia. But is the political risk too high?

Antioquia is confident the money will come, and when it does, there is plenty more upside to explore. It has recently acquired a 90% interest in the Bullet Concession, an adjacent property 20 times the size of the Cisneros site. The likelihood of finding more gold targets in that larger area is considered very high.

Believe it or not, for the Calgary founders there’s more to this venture than profit motive. Says Decker, “Most of us are in this for fun.” Thibault says he, like the other principals, could have chosen a lot of other ventures. But the many positives of Cisneros “are things that don’t just drop into your lap every day.”
