Shaidle: I would vote for John McCain
Kathy Shaidle would reluctantly cast her ballot for John McCain
Kathy Shaidle - November 3, 2008
I'd reluctantly vote for Palin/McCain. Both are far too populist, but the alternative is a deceitful, inexperienced "progressive" whose victory will give aid and comfort to our enemies at home and abroad.
An Obama presidency represents the ultimate victory for those leftists engaged in "the long march through the institutions." We cannot allow those dirty stupid hippies this precious prize. It will be like watching the last 10 seconds of Easy Rider in reverse -- forever.
"Kathy Shaidle is one of the great virtuoso polemicists of our day," says Mark Steyn, in the introduction to her new book "The Tyranny of Nice: How Canada crushes freedom in the name of human rights -- and why it matters to Americans." She blogs at Five Feet of Fury.
